Everything is really well made, and that ending! loved it.
I know it's way easier said than done, but you could do a bigger game with something like this, this was a lot of fun, and I thought of silent hill with this, the story, environment, enemies, and combat, but your thing! loved it
Barbotine takes players on a chilling journey through themes of anxiety and isolation, wrapped in a surreal PSX aesthetic. Across seven eerie stages, the distorted levels of your apartment create an increasingly unsettling atmosphere. The concept is intriguing, evoking vibes reminiscent of Suda51's work. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and am eagerly anticipating more from the developer.
A very interesting project. Have you ever read the visual novel "Saya No Uta"? There, the main character sees the world in a similar way.
I thought about the plot of your game. The first thought that I had for me was that the girl at the beginning of the game infected the protagonist and the following days is the sensations of a sick person during high temperature. White people are microbes (perhaps covid?). The main character fights the disease. But what symbolizes the pit? The hero tries to dig a tunnel to escape from the disease? Or does he want to bury himself from the outside world? Maybe the allusion is not on the disease, but rather on the fear (or hatred) of society and how such a person sees the world. Perhaps white people are guys from the party? Satire for rotten society and noisy companies. Perhaps I dig too deep in search of meaning, but it is very interesting to know what the author put in the plot when creating. But probably this is a secret.
