Really interesting game. The plot and atmosphere is very impressive.

Thank you for playing my game and sharing your gameplay! :D

Great game! I loved our experience of metamorphosis, our beautiful transformation almost makes getting barfed on worth it. I'm glad we got to see ourselves in the mirror, I was getting really curious about the extent of our development!

Haha thank you! I really enjoyed your video. :D

This is amazing, I love the visual style and animations, the whole vibe is so neurotic and dank. the combat is wicked satisfying too. I'd love to get some insight into your approach with this project, we're aiming for this kind of vibe in our current project, Gestate. There's so much flavour in your game's style, it's positively writhing :)

Thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed it! I suppose one thing about my approach was that I tried to simplify as much as possible without compromising on the vision/tone/themes I wanted to explore. I also wanted to make the project as expressive/sincere as I could. It's tough to be spontaneous with game development, but I didn't want to overthink things too much and just did what felt right. Anyways, I'll be sure to check out Gestate as soon as possible. Good luck and thanks for your comment! :)

Thanks so much for sharing your process :D You definitely succeeded at making it expressive, you clearly have a great intuition for what feels right. I would be stoked for you to try our game, I just pushed a little update/patch thing today. Your feedback would really mean a lot because of how your taste is.  also, may I ask how long it took to develop barbotine?

You're too kind, thank you! It took about 4 months to develop in my free time after work :)

that's awesome, your hard work definitely paid off ! kind of an odd question ik, I just wanted to get a sense of what the timeframe looks like for making something like this.

Very insteresting atmosphere. I love the visuals.

Thank you for playing/recording the game! :D

Gave it a Let's Play, I liked it, hope to see more of your style, Alex.

Wow thank you so much! I loved watching you play through the game and thoroughly enjoyed your commentary. It was very funny and informative. You also noticed a ton of details I didn't think anyone would and I loved how observant/curious you were about everything. Your interpretation/speculation on certain things was interesting and in some cases rather accurate to what I was trying to convey haha. Looking forward to more videos. Thanks again, all the best!

Your words honor me :) Can't wait to see whats in store from you.

dont know what happened but it was cool

Haha thanks for playing! :D

Thank you for taking the time to capture your gameplay and share it with me. It was really interesting to see how you played!

I really enjoyed playing your game. I thought the style of it was unique, I also liked how it kept getting darker and darker.

thank you

Hi.
I've had the game bookmarked for a while now, decided to play it. Everything looks great, although 1 major issue - I can't progress with the bear in my hand. I get to the friend, who asked me for a beer and press space, but nothing really works. Hope this is just a small issue and can be fixed easily. Will wait for the update. Good luck!

Hi there. Thank you for checking out the game. That is really strange. I don't suppose you can send a short screen recording of the problem?

(-1)

It is a simple problem - guy asks me to get a beer, I go towards the fridge, get a bottle, then a character confronts me, I get to answer the question and no matter the choice she throws up. I head towards the character, who asked me for a beer and no matter what I can't interact. Please fix the issue or tell me if I am supposed to do something else. Thanks.

(+1)(-1)

I see, I've never had that problem before. The interact should work. Will investigate and get back to you. Thank you!

It is very unfortunate that there is this great looking game and it does not work.
I saw the upload on Steam as well, where apparently you are charging for the game and saw the review, where one of the players posted a YT video of the game. Yeah. I guess you have to purchase the game in order to play it, which is fine to me, but why post the free version here, which does not work?
Anyways, I was very disappointed. Good luck with the future developments and hope no one else get the same bad treatment as I got. Good day.

Hi there. I'm currently investigating your issue. In the mean time, I'm happy to provide you with a free download key for the Steam release. How can I send it to you?

(+3)

Hi Niven. I believe I have solved the issue and have uploaded an updated build of the game (v1.0.1). It had something to do with Steam Achievement integration causing an error (which is why it was working properly on Steam), so I removed that feature for the Itch.io version. I appreciate you informing me of the problem and baring with me, and I'm still more than happy to provide you with a Steam code as compensation if you're still interested in the game. Please let me know if you run into any further issues that I can assist with.
Regards

Hey Alex! Would love to chat about publishing for Aftershock: Coastline. Is there an email I can reach you on?

Thanks!
Sam

Hello! Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately that project has been put on hold indefinitely after a few unsatisfactory play tests.

Sad to hear that! Would love to give the play test build a try if you're still hoping it can become something.

Perhaps we could do some balancing/gameplay suggestions as part of a publishing deal?

Hey, sorry for taking so long to reply. Unfortunately the game suffers from some fundamental issues so it needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. I'm considering preparing a build of it for Itch which I'll share with you as soon as possible though :)

Awesome 🙏

Be sure to drop me an email if you want to discuss further - sam@pergames.com

I can't wait to playing this game the game looks good!

I can't wait to hear what you think when it releases :)
